Pros

Fantastic benefits (for the USA, by USA standards) Strong WFH flexibility Slowly becoming more modern in terms of technology Takes security and privacy seriously. Good culture of learning, growing, and having impact while balancing work, life, and wellbeing. Good family support benefits

Cons

There can still be a lot of bureaucracy at times.

Hardening the software supply chain and development practices has been done at developer expense, largely with internal-only systems that are sub-par to use.

Depending on the organization, you might as well be at a different place. Everything from policies to budgets and hiring can be pretty different.

Advice to Management

Our propensity to build our own version of everything prevents us from building a great version of anything.
