Great reputation and brand name.
Great benefits.
Pay is on the higher side if you are able to negotiate well.
IDC doesn't have the great culture that's present in Redmond under Nadella. Office teams in general have much more politics compared to Azure and Bing. But the Office Exchange team is on another level. They selected managers and directors with zero managerial experience who are always complaining and shouting in meetings.
The team is so bad that during a recent reorg/shuffle, 10 people out of 13 left the team. No one is willing to join this team. The work is decent, but the management behavior makes it suffocating to work.
If you are under their radar, remember they won't even allow team changes. They'll put a false tag of under-performer, give bad Connect reviews, and then fire you. So it's better to avoid joining this team in the first place.
Whoever is joining the Microsoft Office team, ensure that you don't join Exchange at any cost if you want a long-term career at Microsoft.
Microsoft Interview process Off Campus through college. Round 1: Online coding questions (Eliminatory round). Technical round - 2. Round 1: Online Coding solving. Round 2: HR + Coding.
3 Rounds Total. First round OA. DSA hard to medium questions had dynamic programming. Second Round Interview online: Asked for introduction, 2 medium DSA questions. I could tell the algorithm for one but couldn't code it up, and I solved the other
First, there was an OA, which had 2 medium DSA questions. Then, in the first round of the interview, they asked me an anagram question, which I couldn't answer. At the start, the interviewer also asked me questions on operating systems and networks.
