Excellent pay and benefits; they're really as good as you've heard. Once you're in, you're in. There's plenty of opportunity to move around. They really, truly value individual contributors.
Once you're in, you're in, so there is a ton of dead weight. If you're in the right place, it's great; if you work for some calcifying Peter-Principle-Poster-Boy, it will suck the life out of you. The bureaucracy is flabbergasting.
