Pros

Lots of variety.

Fun tasks.

Challenged to get work done.

Cons

Last-minute changes in test priorities.

Worked around getting work completed on other tasks as project priority changed.

Advice to Management

Instead of changing priorities at 4 PM on a Friday, get the work assigned before noon.

Getting top priority jobs is important, but delaying in getting tasks to the testers can cause extra time to get tasks accomplished, and extra overtime pay would be required. Timely identification of new testing and getting it to those who need to do the testing is one way to improve the efficiency of the organization.
