Lots of smart people. Interesting work. Rather than working on a product that will never get market share, at Microsoft you know the products you build should get noticed. Excellent benefits.
Arrogant management that didn't listen to experience.
They willfully ignored the advice of experts at their own peril, resulting in lots of fire drills.
Don't think you know everything, and don't think you have to pay attention to history. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
