Pros

Great, smart, friendly people.

Benefits are great.

Software and hardware provided is very decent.

Better than average work-life balance.

Cons

You need to interview to switch teams, and your manager might get upset if you do and enter negative feedback about you.

Also, the company seems to follow other innovators these days (in several areas) instead of leading.

Advice to Management

One Microsoft means One Microsoft: abolish technical interviews for internal transfers, and do not tie promotion prospects to length on a specific team. Also, let us come up with the products of the future (HoloLens, Xbox, Azure, etc.) instead of trying hard to imitate things we will probably not catch up on in a timely manner (e.g., phones, fitness trackers, etc.).
