Pros

A great opportunity to learn new technologies and meet with the brightest in the industry.

Cons

I was just let go after 3 years for "performance issues" while being the 2nd from the top engineer for closing the most customer cases during the last quarter. Three months ago, I was invited to join a partner team, but my manager would not let me go due to being too valuable on my current team.

I think they are trying to replace US citizens with H-1B visa holders to meet their DEI quota. There are many H-1B holders performing much worse than I, but they remain.

Advice to Management

Layoffs should be based upon lack of job merit, not meeting a demographic quota.

DEI is more important than merit at this company.

DEI is achieving the opposite of what it is supposed to achieve.

There's hardly any "equality" when fired and lower performers remain.
