Pros

Good work-life balance. Decent pay and amenities. Gives employees a chance to move to a team of their liking, even though it takes quite some time.

Cons

When hiring someone, I'm not bothered about what they have done previously or are good at. I just want them to do the work offered. Considering that MS has a very wide portfolio, it is possible to find the best recruit easily.

There's a lack of transparency in performance reviews. I received my review at 5 PM on the last day for the manager to give reviews. Whatever opinion I had, there was no time to incorporate any changes.

Advice to Management

Adjust the hiring process so that when you hire a new person, you find the best team possible for him based on his past experience and interests.

Even though there is clear goal setting at the beginning of the year, there is no accountability for the same when reviews are dished out.
