Pros

Great benefits and overall compensation.

Generally intelligent coworkers.

Cons

Lots of politics.

Some people advance not by their output but by who they know, by sabotaging coworkers, and by taking credit for the work of others.

Depending on your manager, you may be expected to work nights and weekends frequently, and also be on call. When you are on call (up all night answering calls and resolving issues), you are still expected to do your regular work.

Advice to Management

Fix the review process. There is still incentive to make your teammates look bad to promote yourself, and this is unhealthy for the organization.
