Microsoft is a place where you will meet great people and have enough resources for self-learning.
If you hate office politics and want fast promotions (1 promotion in less than 2 years), Microsoft is not a place where you want to work.
I have worked under three dev leads. My first manager is absolutely the best because he really cares about my career and obviously wants me to succeed at Microsoft. The other two guys are sloppy, who don't really show much interest in development. All they care about is that we, as individual contributors, do not make mistakes that will put them on interrogation.
