You might find it difficult to grow in your career after a certain point. A "certain point" here means 2-3 promotions after entry. Microsoft does not make it easy to promote people.
The review system can be very unfair in how employees are rated and rewarded.
Fix the review system. Having a paltry promotion budget, and then requiring that employees have an upward trajectory or they are kicked out is patently unfair.
