Some of the very obvious pros are:
Microsoft should not hire immensely talented people from IITs/NITs and put them to work on the most monotonous tasks. The growth opportunities for testers are very limited. You need to have a very good rapport with team members and senior managers if you expect raises and promotions in a timely manner. Good work alone will not get you that.
My advice is: Are you looking for a place where you want to put your grey matter to work and also expect fairness in terms of career growth? DON'T join as an SDET in MS India.
Please, please, please give the pay raise/promotions your hard-working and sincere employees deserve. Ass lickers are doing no good to the company.
