In general, MS is a good place to work. The politics can sometimes be difficult to deal with, but once you learn the game, it's not bad to navigate.
The biggest con at MSFT is the inability to move between teams. It also feels like there are too many levels of management.
Flatten the reporting structure.
Split SDET into two roles: test and development of tests.
Change SDETs who write tests to SDE.
Allow easier transfer policies.
