Pros

The benefits are good and the work is interesting. There's always free parking, coffee, and beverages. The lunches are better than average, and some of the parties are good.

Cons

Politics, backstabbing. The performance evaluation process is horrific.

Expected overtime with no compensation. Transfer between teams is too difficult and too laden with politics. Too many meetings. Way too many meetings.

Advice to Management

Scale down central management. Get rid of normalized performance evaluations. Give each group (of under 100 people) a budget and complete discretion on rewarding its employees.
