Pros

  • Get to see some cool stuff
Cons
  • Some people, especially middle management, are not qualified for their jobs and should not be in this industry, let alone working at Microsoft.
  • Innovative ideas are not encouraged.
  • Stupid metric system for evaluations. This system makes no sense from an engineering point of view.
  • Managers can screw you over in evaluations, and there is nothing you can do about it.
  • Poor work-life balance, but I blame this on the poor quality of the managers.
Advice to Management

Get rid of Ballmer. He has no vision and does not understand the industry.
