Ability to manage my team effectively and without upper management blocking my efforts.
Decent work/life balance, although overtime was always required to get product out the door.
Constant budget cuts.
Projects often do not have enough resources to ensure that code review standards are met.
Constant re-orgs.
Unable to find and retain talented engineers.
Senior management doesn't allow for bringing more people on-board to assist on getting product tested thoroughly.
Hire local. H1B workers don't really care about the company or the project they are on. Mostly, they only care about making money and not focusing on the tasks at hand.
