Cons

A highly political environment – your career depends on who you know, self-promotion, and your relationship with your boss.

People overwhelmingly prefer electronic versus physical interaction, leading to a sterile and siloed environment.

Kool-aid-drinking employees often don't know what's going on outside of Microsoft.

Advice to Management

Fire Ballmer, Brummel. Get rid of the stack-ranked review system that encourages peer competition instead of cooperation and spend less time on reviews and more time on products. Implement real accountability for middle management.
