Depends on teams. But as I know, most of the teams do not allow you to convert to FTE unless you are really that good. If you are not confident about your skills, keep looking for a different company for a full-time position. To become FTE at Microsoft is not easy.
If this is your only choice, go for it.
And I lost my contractor role due to a re-org.
