I was referred by a friend. Microsoft contacted me to schedule an interview at my university before potentially flying me out. The first 15 minutes were devoted to my interests and experience, then I was asked a technical question.

A recruiter approached me for an upcoming hiring event. They asked me to take a code assessment, and the interview process would continue from that point.
