The deal is pretty good at higher levels (after L64). If you join at lower levels, I wouldn't recommend staying at Microsoft for too long, as refreshers and bonuses suck.
Work-life is pretty good in most of the teams.
Perks at Microsoft:
Deals suck at lower levels.
Slow-paced dev environment compared to other companies. I wouldn't recommend Microsoft (although some teams might have different perspectives) for consolidating technical skills.
Delayed promotions in some teams. You also need to climb two levels to get your next title.
