Good salary, great benefits, and some very smart people. Depending on the group, you can be given more or less opportunity to work with new and interesting technologies.
Lots of really questionable design decisions at higher levels. It's hard to get excited about products I'm not personally interested in ever purchasing. Some organizations are very disorganized, and breakdowns in communication are frequent.
Keep fostering an environment of collaboration and cooperation.
Microsoft used to be pretty cutthroat, and that is changing, but we're not there yet.
