Pros

The general benefits and culture at Microsoft are amazing. The team was fully remote and continues to be, so there is this feeling that we are a global team, without any regional distinctions or discrimination that may happen in other companies about overseas teams.

Cons

As it is an older company, some people from their darker days are still around and can cause trouble for you. There is no forced yearly layoff system, but if someone has their eye on you, then not-so-good things can happen. Morale is also low because of the continuous layoffs while profits are high.

Advice to Management

Be honest with your team members. At the very least, your team members can start looking for more opportunities before a layoff round occurs.
