Bear in mind that with Microsoft being a large organization with many different divisions and teams, what is written below may not apply to all:

• Humble and smart teammates
• Empowered to grow
• Awesome people and community at the Vancouver office (remote for now)
• Scope for impact can be large, given Microsoft's reach in the market
• Very manageable workload (as much or as little as you want, within reason) and good regard for life outside work

• Promo can be slow in some orgs.
• Not all orgs are agile/use modern technology, but this is changing rapidly.
• Pay in Canada is decent, but significantly lower compared to companies of similar stature/prestige/performance. You'll be well taken care of, but there are many other companies in Canada with similar pros (e.g., impact, career growth, WLB) but much higher pay.
