Great pay, benefits, workplace, and swag, etc. Microsoft had a lot of events that summer, and we got an Xbox as a gift.
Hit or miss with team placement. If you end up on a cool team (with great people), you'll have a blast. But I've had friends who've been on teams that weren't very exciting or who had difficulties working with senior members on the team.

Software Engineer Intern
It sounded like a normal, nice conversation. The behavioral interview was just about yourself and your resume. They asked normal LeetCode-style questions for both interviews. Overall, it felt like I wasn't nervous during the interviews.

The first interviewer presented a LeetCode-style coding challenge focused on hash tables. The second interviewer required implementing a function to split strings using characters, substrings, or regular expressions.

Pretty nice overall process. It was very standard, and the process was quick after the OA and interviews. The interview consisted of a standard behavioral assessment and a pretty easy LeetCode medium implementation. I received the offer.
