Good for the resume and experience, but it wasn't very enjoyable
I got to meet and work with some really smart people. I got Microsoft on my resume. I learned a lot.
Being a contract worker is hard. Layoffs and cost-cutting measures seemed to hit someone on the team monthly, if not weekly.
There is still an FTE vs. Contractor mentality, even though people say it's gone. A lot of browbeating for "stupid" questions.
You will probably get thrown under the bus, but it's overall probably worth enduring for the exit opportunities.
