3. Good work/life balance. Most benefits seem somewhat catered to family people who don't want to work late.

2. There doesn't seem to be a very good way to advance your career without moving into management.
3. The job can end up being very political.
4. It all really depends on your team.

There should be more opportunities for talented people to move laterally and advance their careers without going into management.
