Great company, but uncertain future
Microsoft genuinely cares about its employees and is moving the culture in the right direction. It has all the opportunities and problems that a software engineer can dream to solve.
Microsoft can't rally the troops with a big mission.
As a result, a lot (not all, a lot) of senior employees are motivated by personal gain and are ready to game the system if need be.
- Make hiring top talent from college a priority.
- Fire anyone who values themselves over customers and product.
