Pros

Formerly, the pros were solid pay, top-tier name on your resume, and great WLB. This was with the understanding that the pay was less than places like Amazon precisely because you were getting a more relaxed culture.

Cons

Increasingly, the above is no longer true. It’s turning into the Hunger Games, even in orgs which were formerly known for good WLB.

Rolling layoffs. Rumors of mandated firing quotas in some teams, affecting even high performers.

To top it off, the compensation simply still is not at the level of other companies, such as Amazon. Seems like they’re going for an AWS-style shark-eat-shark culture, but not AWS-style pay.
