Pros

I was able to take ownership of certain product areas. Everyone on the team was really smart.

Cons

Work-life balance in Azure was horrible. Oncall for three weeks at a time, even though it's 12-hour shifts (the India team takes over at night). It was nonstop issues for the 12 hours. I started dreading the month of oncall. My pager would go off constantly, and I'd be pulled in 10 different directions. I'd have to involve my teammates when they weren't on call. And when I wasn't on call, I'd get involved with livesite all the time as well.

Advice to Management

Bring back the support team that handled the smaller issues.
