Depending on the team, some of the tools you use to develop can be serious productivity killers. I'm talking build times in excess of 20 minutes as just one example. Sometimes, I have been blocked for multiple days dealing with infrastructure issues. Along with that, if you're on a team that is playing catchup with Google or other competitors, then there is tons of work and aggressive deadlines.
