Pros
  • Decent TC compared to other non-tech.
  • Maybe better work-life balance? Though this is currently quickly changing.
Cons
  • Rapidly deteriorating work environment and company culture.
  • Difficult to find teams with competent peer engineers.
  • Heavy corporate culture focused on optics and politics, with a strong disregard for technical excellence. It can feel similar to a heavily nepotism-driven environment.
  • Used to promote work-life balance and stability at the cost of TC. Now it's rapidly becoming a sweatshop with stack ranking and monthly layoffs, all without the TC to compensate.
Advice to Management

Either pay or treat your engineers better. This company is unrecognizable from the one I joined.
