If you're going to a big tech company, this is the one. Despite being the tech giant that it is, Microsoft is a very down-to-earth place. I'm not sure how this happens; if leadership is truly made of awesome people and that trickles down.
Their slogan "empowering every person to achieve more" isn't just a cheesy line; the people I was around truly embodied that. Accessibility is highlighted on seemingly every corner of their buildings and in every meeting, where you're shamed if your slides aren't color-blind friendly and God forbid if you forget subtitles! It's awesome.
Microsoft stands for making a difference, and you can feel good working on code that's going to touch millions of people's lives while also enjoying the security and perks of a big company. My team was awesome and made me feel supported as an intern. I learned a ton!

So while my team was youthful and amazing, not all departments and teams are like that. There's a wide variety. But the pro is that there is plenty of mobility and networking within the company, and managers support your individual career goals & happiness.
It's like a mini job market within itself. Plenty of things to work on and opportunities.
