Work/life balance. Interesting colleagues. Good overall package. Looks good on CV.
Leadership messaging is poor, and poor management of constant change burns you out. There's a lack of training and skilling options. Management is trying to create cookie-cutter resources, delivering 'one size fits all' offerings which are not customer-centric. A toxic culture is arising from the poor handling of redundancies, all while Microsoft shouts about how much money they are making. Profit before people.
Remember to stick to Microsoft's values and invest in people. Microsoft is now unrecognizable from the leader in corporate ethics it was just a year ago.
1 telephonic interview and 3 onsite interviews. The telephonic interview was with a Senior Solution Architect. He was very polite and tried his best to make me feel comfortable.
Straightforward but took several months. Interviews all went well. Then, for my final interview, I had a no-show for one of my three rounds. I believe this severely impacted my final outcome, as the other two rounds went really well.
The interview involved two phones, with one group completing five rounds. Each round lasted 44 minutes, followed by a 15-minute break. The interviewers were nice and friendly. I was able to answer most of the questions.
