Pros

Great freedom. Felt safe during the pandemic. Management is always looking to improve diversity and inclusion.

Cons

As a new employee, it's difficult to swim in the Microsoft culture if you don't have direction and someone helping you meet the "right" people. It seems like every day there is a re-org, and it's challenging to know how to make an impact.

This isn't good, as bonus is based on making a significant impact. I feel like my talents are being wasted without being given opportunities to succeed.

Advice to Management

Help new hires meet and connect with the people they need to, to make an impact. Put people in situations where they can succeed and not languish on the sidelines.
