Local branches in Europe are, essentially, sales organizations. Short-sighted, they are not interested in providing business value to the customer. Their only objective is to sell everything as fast as possible (typically for yesterday).
Reduce the organizational distance between Redmond and local branches.
Check directly the distortions of the strategy and rules that are happening in the local branches outside the USA.
Straightforward but took several months. Interviews all went well. Then, for my final interview, I had a no-show for one of my three rounds. I believe this severely impacted my final outcome, as the other two rounds went really well.
