I've been to over ten different companies before coming to Microsoft. This is the best company by far in terms of availability of technical resources. And also, unlimited drinks of all kinds: soft drinks, juices, milk, teas.
Well, when the company was doing well, compensation was excellent with all those stock options.
But as the company matured, the stock did not perform as well.
They still gave stocks, but they were not nearly as profitable as they used to be.
I understand that the company is well-established now, and the culture of the company has changed. But Microsoft still needs to revive the rah-rah spirit that it once had.
