Process

The interviews themselves were just fine. The process involved:

  • A recruiter screen
  • A technical screen using CoderPad
  • Another phone conversation about education
  • An all-day on-site with three technical components (most of which related in some way to the initial tech screen), lunch, and two behavioral/more casual conversations.

Everyone was friendly, and the people I met at my on-site seemed like they'd be great colleagues.

My biggest issue was the delays. So much time went by between each interview stage, and communication with the recruiter and team was difficult. I applied through an employee in early March and did not get through the process until late June/early July.

Also, just something to note: they flew me out to NY for the on-site but did not cover the cost of the flight or hotel upfront. An expense form had to be submitted after the interview, which they say will take about 3-4 weeks to process. I also had to book the flights with about two days' notice due to slow communication, so you can imagine they were costly!
