Way too many rounds.

1. 15-minute call with a recruiter.
2. Two 30-minute calls: a screening with a tech lead, then a 30-minute React app coding session.
3. A 1.5-hour React coding interview, including tests.
4. System design interview. First, I received a task via email, prepared it in a document, and sent it 24 hours ahead. This was followed by a 1-hour call to present it and answer questions.
5. A 30-minute interview with the manager.

Overall, it was a bad experience. I was straightforward from the first call, stating that I planned on leaving the country and was only open to full remote positions, but would consider working from another country where MongoDB has an office (Germany). They initially said this was fine. However, during the last round, they indicated it might be okay and that they wanted to give an offer, but would prefer me working from Ireland. When I said no, the reply was, "Okay, maybe after another call with leadership." I had that call, and their response was, "No, we won't offer remote from Germany. Only Ireland."

Coding a React app but also expecting to write tests on the call. System design but expecting to spend a few hours at home researching.
