MongoDB gives interns the opportunity to work on features that are not only interesting but also have an actual impact on the product.
This made the work exciting and exposed me to a lot of challenging technical problems I don't think I would have encountered at most other companies. The people I met there were all very approachable, so whenever I was confused, they were willing to take time out of their day to help.
The intern events were also amazing. We got to go on a pizza tour, take trapezing lessons, and go to a Broadway show, etc.
There's no training program specific to each team for interns, so all the interns get the same general training.
Basic data structure runtime questions and DSA quirks, followed by code for two problems. It was a one-hour interview, where I had to fully explain my thought process at each stage. They wanted to understand what I was thinking before letting me code
It was a great experience. They were very communicative and kind. I loved my recruiter because they made sure I felt supported and followed up consistently. I would highly recommend applying.
3 challenges: * Fizzbuzz * Find the height of a binary tree * Parsing parenthesis
