Very smart engineers, very comfortable environment.
Not exciting. Moving too slowly, and engineers are perfectly okay with that. A great place to keep your head down and keep working, but not a great place to learn or develop.
First, there is a ~30 minute phone interview. It mostly covers behavioral questions, but they also ask a few technical questions. Then, there is a technical screen, but it's not done via MongoDB but through Karat.
First round interview. The interviewer was kind of harsh and didn't let me finish speaking. They didn't seem interested in what I had to say. They mentioned that there would be three rounds of technical (coding) interviews after the initial one.
The behavioral interview was okay. The interviewer was very nice! The Karat interview was terrible. The interviewer was very quiet and relaxed, hardly giving any clues. Overall, I don’t think it was the worst experience.
