Python Developer Interview Experience - Montreal, Quebec

Process

I conducted the interviews in Q4 of 2020. I received an offer but declined as I lived in Toronto, and moving was a significant concern.

The good thing about Morgan Stanley is that you can search their job site and select multiple roles. The recruiter was also nice, so I applied for four roles.

It seems there were four rounds:

  • First round: HR reach-out
  • Second round: Phone technical interview
  • Third round: Virtual on-site
  • Fourth round: Manager interview

Technical interviews were mostly related to basic Python data structure questions, similar to easy-level LeetCode questions. They also asked candidates questions based on their resumes.

Questions

I included Pandas on my resume, and the interviewer asked how I used it. I explained that I used Pandas to handle CSV data. Then, they inquired about how to make reading CSV files faster.
