This is just a rant. I cleared the first round.
In the second round, a middle-aged man joined. He chatted for 10-15 minutes and said, "I do not have any questions. We can wrap up."
So, I asked what went wrong. He said, "I don't have proven experience in the banking sector on my resume."
I explained how I worked at a credit union that handled over 1200 clients. He then said, "Since your current project is data-focused, continue working on that."
I mentioned that nobody tells me that beforehand. I said, "First, ask me any questions, then we can talk."
He then stated, "I don't have any Spring Boot-related experience." I clarified that I created a whole website from scratch, which was also on my resume. He responded, "It could be a college project." It was an e-commerce website.
I reiterated, "Ask me questions first, and then reject." He then stated, "We don't have the bandwidth to train a new resource, and you don't have experience with banks."
Nobody asked about my work on a system that served over 1200 clients. I ended the call.
I don't understand why my resume passed screening if it was so bad. If it passed screening, how did I clear the first round?
I don't know, but I have never attended such a stupid interview.
If you have a large file, how would you find the word with the most frequency?
