Process

I had three interviews:

  • 1st interview: with the Recruiter, to explain the job position and evaluate if it would fit my profile and career goals.
  • 2nd interview: with the Project Manager. He asked basic technical questions related to databases, SQL, DB2, PL/SQL, and version control systems. He also asked about the kind of DB projects I had participated in.
  • 3rd interview: with the Head Office Director and Division Manager. They asked about my previous experience in similar financial companies and very specific technical details about SQL commands and database concepts.

Questions

What kind of DB projects have you participated in?

How did you learn PL/SQL?

If you face a bug in a program, what steps do you follow to find the issue and solve it?

Do you know what a partition is?

Do you know what a distributed database is?

... and similar questions

What is the data volume managed in previous projects?

How would you manage self-training and possible dedication to job-related issues outside of work hours? (This is a very uncomfortable question)
