Process

I applied online and the process took one day.

I applied for a Software Developer position at Sandy, UT, but they interviewed for a Jr. to Intermediate Full Stack Developer role.

I completed the phone screen interview with a different person than I was initially told. The interview started with resume and experience-based questions and concluded with basic OOPs questions, which were not expected for an initial phone screen. The interview lasted for 30 minutes.

Questions

Technical Questions:

  • Difference between classes and objects?
  • Difference between primary key and foreign key?
  • What is polymorphism?
  • What is encapsulation? What would security be hampered if not encapsulated?
  • What is Agile? Have you used it? Advantages of using Agile?
  • Do you know anything about Design Patterns?
  • What should you do to ensure that your code does not have any errors?
