The interview process was as follows:
I was interviewed at the Morgan Stanley, Mumbai office for a position based out of their Bangalore office. Initially, the recruiter stated they would reimburse my travel to the Mumbai office, but later changed their mind. I therefore traveled at my own expense. By the end of the day, the HR team informed me that I had passed and asked me to submit my salary slips and present my company's offer letter and latest revision letter.
After two days, the HR person contacted me again and informed me that two fitment rounds were still required, stating they would be a mere formality.
The two fitment rounds, conducted from New York, turned out to be full-fledged technical rounds themselves.
Following that, there was a lull of a week. I called the HR team, but they did not answer. I emailed them with no reply. I finally had to get in touch with my recruiter and heard the worst explanation of my life: that I did not meet their eligibility criteria. WTF! Seriously?
How can a firm tell me this after assurances from the HR team and after seven rounds of interviews? Seriously, a miserly firm that probably wanted a rocket scientist at the pay scale of a barber.
I will not attend any interview with this firm ever. Pissed off to the core of my heart.
