Pros

Best place to work in Montreal if your NYC management is a good team. Unfortunately, ours is hostile in operations, so very toxic, and a sweatshop for associates that report to you.

Cons

Contractual agreements by e-mail mean nothing to Executives. Gatekeeper bullies prevent you from collaborating or joining groups if they sense you're a threat to their ego, lack of skills, or insecurities. Many NYC staff have been there for decades and are totally detached from what's going on in the real tech world.

Some teams are great; roughly three-quarters of them seem to be. If you end up on the wrong team, there will be finger-pointing and scapegoats made of new employees. Any mistake will be shamed in front of the team. If your holier-than-thou boss has a hair out of place, expect to be shuffled and set up to fail, even if you ask for help from those who are neither Human nor Resourceful.

A toxic environment needs a sweep through by government legislators to cut off the bully bosses at their ankles, or better yet, have them thrown out!

Beware of colleagues who have absolutely no recommendations of any sort on their LinkedIn profile. Do your research before joining if you still have a chance.

Advice to Management

Stop your bully bosses, and step in when employees indicate there are problems, instead of firing them, which is rather cowardly!

You have anti-harassment policies, yet do nothing to enforce them in the Montreal office.
