College grads who join here are treated as babies. They will be given preference over lateral hires throughout their careers. You could find a 5-10 year experienced lateral hire being led by a 2-3 year grad, who has no industry experience whatsoever. A 1-year grad is equivalent to 5 years of lateral hires.
Lateral hires will take 3-5 years to get a promotion, which a grad will get in 1 year. The firm speaks so much about equal opportunity, but I don't understand how it is encouraged in this case.
