Pros

Good, hard-working employees who put their trust in their performance.

Cons

Extensive hires were made to meet the Executive Director's agenda of having a large team of reports, enabling their advancement. This is followed by a reduction in staff, thus presenting cost savings to Senior Leadership to further support personal advancement agendas. No automation was in mind because it would defeat building a large team. Too many unnecessary manual processes exist.

Advice to Management

Sr. Management needs to enable a change to this common self-promoting agenda and promote those that are consistently running lean teams that return on investment, rather than promoting those that are an obvious cost impediment to the business. Promote those that consider low cost, high ROI as opposed to those running empires that don't add value.

Automate using current technologies, taking advantage of what is available today. This will meet your "Innovation" goals.
