I was asked to submit an online test consisting of about a dozen short, advanced-level programming questions. After I submitted them, I had a technical phone interview with the hiring manager. The questions were related to the problems I had previously submitted. They asked 'why,' 'how,' and 'explain this and that.' The interviewer was not in a great mood, and I had to call them when they forgot to call me at the scheduled time. I didn't hear any accept or reject from them later.
The questions were related to the JAVA project they were hiring for.
