Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Los Gatos, California
Process
The hiring process was superfast. The hiring manager contacted me on LinkedIn, and then a recruiter called to set up a phone conversation with the hiring manager.
The phone conversation actually turned out to be a technical screening with another engineer, in addition to the hiring manager asking questions related to my resume.
On the same day, the recruiter called to arrange an onsite interview, which was scheduled a week later.
The onsite interview consisted of four rounds: three technical and one with the recruiter. The interview was related to my resume and the job requirements. It was not too difficult.
However, they were stressing the performance of each individual from the beginning. I really felt like they were saying, if they don't like someone's work, they will fire them. They don't have any organizational process to follow, and everyone is free to follow their own process.
I knew right from the beginning that I wasn't the right fit there. The interview experience was neutral.

Training is minimal, and the expectation is that you take educating and training yourself into your own hands, which could be a bit of a challenge for some. If you do not possess the knowledge and talent to be a good problem solver, don't expect management to train you on solving things. - Job stability could be a concern at times. But as long as you continue to innovate and stay professional, it shouldn't be a big concern. - The packaged free lunch isn't on par with the buffets at other Silicon Valley software companies like Facebook and Google. But it's still free, so you can't complain much.
